This is a major update

This is a MAJOR update of WorldEdit with plenty of internal changes. This is also a BETA. Please report any bugs that you find on our issue tracker.

Because WorldEdit doesn't really save data, this update should not change too much, except that some plugins may be incompatible with WorldEdit 6. If you need to downgrade down to WE 5.x, you do not need to do anything first to downgrade.

BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR WORLD ANYWAY. You should be backing up all your data on a periodical basis!

A changelog will be posted later, but here are two new features:

  • Now rotate over the other two axes:
    //rotate y x z
  • Set a default selection type:
    //sel -d
  • Perlin noise:
    //replace =perlin(0,x/2,y,z/2,0.05,3,0.8)<0.1 air

Before upgrading: If you are upgrading from WorldEdit 5.x, you may find that some plugins are incompatible with WorldEdit. If you find that to be the case, you can downgrade to the latest 5.x version without incident.

This version is compatible with:

  • Bukkit for 1.6.4
  • Bukkit for 1.7.5
  • Bukkit for 1.7.9
  • Bukkit for 1.7.10
  • Cauldron for 1.7.10
  • Spigot for 1.8

If you try to use WorldEdit on an unsupported version, WorldEdit will work, but you may be unable to properly copy/paste signs, chests, entities, and some other things.

Changes

  • Added support for MC 1.8 items (rotation, however, may not yet fully work).
  • Fixed the configuration file not being generated.

WorldEdit 6.1.2 (up to MC 1.9.4)

$

This version is compatible with:

  • Bukkit for 1.6.4
  • Bukkit for 1.7.5
  • Bukkit for 1.7.9
  • Bukkit for 1.7.10
  • Cauldron for 1.7.10
  • Spigot for 1.8 from 1.8 to 1.8.8
  • Spigot for 1.9 from 1.9 to 1.9.4

If you are using Minecraft Forge, get WorldEdit from here instead: http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/225608-worldedit

If you try to use WorldEdit on an unsupported version, WorldEdit will work, but you may be unable to properly copy/paste signs, chests, entities, and some other things.

Changes

  • Added support for Spigot for MC 1.9 and 1.9.4.
  • Most entities and blocks should now rotate and paste correctly (see issues below)
  • //schem list now supports pages (use [-p <#>]).
  • Schematics can also be nested inside multiple directories now.
  • Masks are now world-aware, so expressions can be used in mask commands. e.g. //gmask =queryRel(0,-1,0,1,0)
  • Fix double-interacts on 1.9 servers. The off-hand item is now ignored.
  • Fix creating signs via the //set sign|Text|Goes|here notation.
    • Note that Minecraft clients now require strict JSON text on signs. What this means is that .schematic files with old signs will likely crash your client if you try to paste them. We recommend creating new schematics to ensure your signs have the correct data.

Known Issues

  • Double doors sometimes pop off when pasting.
  • Armor stands and item frames might not paste.
